The Pain Relief Clinic Singapore | Content dated 28 October 2026

The Pain Relief Clinic can check MRI availability and coordinate a potential same-day appointment. Contact our concierge before visiting to clarify your scan requirements, potential appointment options and total fees. Same-day scanning depends on clinical suitability, safety screening and a confirmed available slot; it is not guaranteed.

Enquire first and plan your visit

Contact our concierge with your requested body area, preferred date and any existing MRI request. We can clarify your requirements, enquire about available scan slots and explain estimated fees and consultation arrangements before you come down. Advance coordination can help reduce avoidable trips and uncertainty about the next step.

Checking availability for a potential same day appointment

Our concierge can check availability and coordinate a potential same-day consultation and MRI appointment. This does not reserve or guarantee a scan slot, and not every MRI can be performed on the day of consultation. The doctor assesses the appropriate referral, while the selected imaging provider confirms scan suitability, safety requirements and appointment availability. Consultation and scan bookings must be expressly confirmed.

Specialist radiologist reporting within one working day may be available

MRI scans are reported by specialist radiologists. Depending on the selected imaging provider and scan requirements, the written MRI report may be available within one working day after the scan. Our concierge can enquire about the expected reporting time before you proceed. This timeframe is not guaranteed; complex scans, additional review and provider workload may affect turnaround. Availability of the report is separate from the timing of your consultation to discuss the findings and next steps.

An MRI option at the same address and a choice of nearby providers

The clinic is located at 350 Orchard Road, #10-00 Shaw House, Singapore 238868. The nearest MRI machine is also located at #10-00 Shaw House, on the same floor as the clinic. MRI arrangements are not restricted to this location. We can enquire about other nearby imaging providers based on the required scan, available appointments, quoted fees and your preferences. An alternative provider may offer an earlier slot or a lower quoted fee. Scans are performed and reported by the selected imaging provider.

Already prescribed an MRI by another doctor

If you already have an MRI request and are looking for earlier access or a lower quoted scan fee, send the request to our concierge. We can check potential options and explain the consultation and referral process before you visit. Acceptance of an existing request and the scan protocol depend on the selected imaging provider.

MRI fees and consultation charge

MRI from $950 nett; consultation $50 nett; total from $1,000 nett at the $950 scan option. No additional GST applies to the $950 nett scan or the $50 nett clinic consultation. These fees apply to individual neck, back, knee or shoulder MRI scans, depending on the available selected imaging provider.

Other provider fees may be $1,000 plus GST, with the $50 nett clinic consultation charged separately. The applicable total, including any GST and additional charges, will be confirmed before booking. For every provider, the quoted MRI fee includes the scan images and a formal specialist radiologist’s report at no additional cost. Prices are for an individual scan, not all four body areas combined. Any contrast or additional imaging charges will be clarified before booking.

Book specifically to discuss an MRI

You may consult the doctor specifically about an MRI request. There is no single treatment sequence for every patient; the doctor assesses your circumstances and explains whether MRI now, another investigation or treatment is appropriate. Concierge availability checks support planning and do not replace clinical assessment.

Contact our concierge to check availability for a potential same-day MRI appointment, confirm your applicable total before booking and enquire about expected specialist radiologist reporting times.

What To Expect When I Visit The Pain Relief Clinic

A typical visit will involve our doctor first understanding your medical history, concerns and previous experience with other pain treatments.

For patients who have consulted many people but have yet to receive a clear diagnosis, selecting an affordable imaging scan might be recommended to confirm the cause of your pain..

Some patients have already done scans with other doctors for their pain condition but are still not clearly told what they suffer from.

Dr Terence Tan is happy to offer you a second opinion and recommend how best to manage your condition.

We also see patients who already have a confirmed diagnosis from specialist pain doctors, but are "stuck” because treatment options offered are not practical or acceptable.

We can help by discussing options that you might have potentially never been told of.

A common experience is when a patient has already consulted a specialist doctor for pain management and is told to consider orthopaedic surgery which they find too aggressive.

Or they may have seen doctors for their pain and were prescribed painkillers with potential side effects which made them feel uncomfortable.

Many of our patients have also first tried complementary treatments or acupuncture with traditional Chinese pain doctors.

They look for a second opinion after finding any relief experienced from other treatments to be temporary or requiring repetitive treatments, which add up to time and cost.

Especially in such situations, we emphasize using non-invasive medical technology you likely have not been told about .

This can make a big difference to your results.
